7. Mt. Pelion (Magnesia, Thessaly)
Considered one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece, Pelion (1500m altitude), the favorite summer resort of the 12 Olympian Gods, forms a natural borderline between Magnesia and the Aegean Sea. Makrinitsa, Portaria, Milies, Vizitsa, Tsagarada and Chania, are among the most beautiful villages in Pelion. They are made up of traditional little houses with grey stone roofs, cobblestoned alleys, hospitable guesthouses, as well as taverns that serve exceptional dishes and stores selling delicious local products and souvenirs.
