Anthemus Hotel & Spa in Halkidiki wins HolidayCheck Gold for 5th year in a row

Halkidiki’s Anthemus Sea Beach Hotel & Spa has received new accolades from HolidayCheck, one of Europe’s leading hotel evaluation and reservation portals. The 5-star hotel located in Sithonia (the second “finger” of the Halkidiki Peninsula) has been honored with the HolidayCheck 2024 Gold Award for the fifth consecutive year.

The HolidayCheck Award highlights the top-rated hotels worldwide based on feedback from the HolidayCheck community. This process is based on authentic traveller feedback, ensuring that only the most deserving hotels receive this prestigious honour.

“This is a rare honor for a Greek hotel, as only five 5-star hotels have achieved such recognition,” stated the hotel’s management in an announcement.

Located on a site of 38.000 M² embosomed in a picturesque bay along the tranquil “Elia Coast” of Sithonia, Anthemus is known for its sustainable practices, having held the “Green Key” and “Blue Flag” eco-labels for over 20 years.

The hotel has successfully implemented its environmental initiatives focused on sustainable development. These initiatives include the construction of a large photovoltaic park, providing shade to 130 outdoor parking spaces for guests’ cars – the largest of its kind in a hotel in Greece – and covers about 65% of the hotel’s annual energy needs. Other initiatives are the replacement of lamps with LED lights, upgrade of air conditioning units, solar energy for heating and hot water, irrigation system and water-saving filters installation.

Anthemus offers 202 rooms and suites with a breathtaking view of either the sea or pool, or of the nearby pinewoods and evergreen olive trees. It also features distinct restaurants, bars, four lagoon shaped swimming pools (one of which is a children’s pool), a luxurious Spa & Health Club spanning approximately 700m², and a Conference Centre.
