Greek farmers are planning protests across the country for Feb. 1, demanding sufficient financial aid pledged by the government with no delays. In recent weeks, farmers have started blocking highways with tractors. On Wednesday, more such blockades were reported in central and northern Greece.

A total of 212,000 homes are estimated to be missing from the Greek property market and the main reason for the reduced supply is that short-term rental activity has absorbed 170,000 assets, Kathimerini reported citing a study by Piraeus Bank.

-By 2030, the largest airlines (Aegean, Sky Express, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Volotea) operating to and from Athens International Airport will increase their available seats as they upgrade their fleet with larger aircraft, according to research by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
-Greece expects more Chinese tourists this year by offering a tailored tourism product to suit the needs of the Chinese market, Dimitris Fragakis, secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), told Xinhua in an exclusive interview on Wednesday.
-The Greek Confederation of Tourist Accommodation Enterprises (SETKE) is calling on Environment Minister Theodoros Skylakakis and Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni to reexamine the new Special Spatial Planning Framework saying it was “creating unfair competition at the expense of small tourist accommodation businesses.”
