ECONOMY
-In 2022 there were 47 foreign direct investments in Greece, compared to 30 in 2021, according to the EY European Investment Monitor. Furthermore, 40% of companies plan to invest or expand their activities in the country in the next year.
-The PMI in Greece closed at 50.3 points in September against 52.9 points in August, according to a report by S&P Global.
-The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Greece was unchanged at 10.9% in August 2023, the same as an upwardly revised 10.9% in July, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said.
TRAVEL
-The number of international airline planned seats to Athens in October is up by 16.9% compared to last year to over 1 million, according to INSETE, the Greek Tourism Confederation’s (SETE) research body.
