ECONOMY
-The annual inflation rate in Greece fell to 3% in November of 2023, from a seven-month high of 3.4% in the prior month, amid a slowdown in prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (9% vs 9.9% in October).
-Greece’s trade deficit decreased by 32% in November, with imports dropping by 19.4% (y-o-y) and exports by 8.8%, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority.

In 2019-2022 there is a sharp escalation of irregularities in standardized olive oils, according to the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) data.
SHIPPING
The port of Piraeus is ready to proceed with the implementation of ship electrification infrastructure from land, starting from the area of coastal shipping, Naftemporiki reported.
REAL ESTATE
Greek lawmakers voted in favor of an updated tax bill which includes the introduction of a tourism charge and new short-term rentals regulations in parliament last week. Additionally, the new law requires that all real estate purchases and sales be made exclusively using bank payments.
