-In January-May 2024, complaints to the Consumer Ombudsman grew by 43% on an annual basis. The trade sectors with the most complaints were the consumer goods sector (36.2%), the electronic communications and postal services sector (19.6%) and the energy and water supply sector (17.1%).

-The Greek passport is 6th on the list of the world’s most powerful, granting visa-free travel to 190 countries, according to the 2024 Henley Passport Index released by Henley & Partners.

-The Mount Pelion steam tourist train will operate daily, starting Monday (July 1) AMNA reported. One of the world’s narrowest railway lines, the train comprises four wagons and is nicknamed “Moutzouris,” for the steam and smoke it once produced.

CULTURE

The Acropolis Museum in Athens inaugurated on Wednesday (June 26) a new innovative exhibition hall named ‘The Excavation Museum’, which will host 1,150 rare exhibits and artifacts from the residents of the ancient city. The hall is located at the archaeological site beneath the museum’s main building.
