A Presidential Decree that dissolves the parliament of May 21 and officially calls for repeat general elections on June 25 was issued late afternoon on Monday, AMNA reported.

ECONOMY

-The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) said that seven in ten of the taxpayers who have already filed an annual tax return have not been asked to pay additional taxes or have received a rebate.

-Greece’s four systemic banks’ total interest income reached 1.9 billion euros in Q1 2023, up 58% y-o-y and was the key source of the boost to profitability, which stood at €788.4 million, according to an analysis by Eurobank Equities.

-Retail trade turnover grew by 13.2% in Q1 2023 to 14.88 billion euros y-o-y, ELSTAT data showed.

LABOUR MARKET

-The Greek IT market is looking for around 300,000 IT executives in order to meet the challenge of the digital transformation by 2030, a recent research by Deloitte on behalf of the Hellenic ICT Business Association (SEPE) reveals.
