Over 17.4% of Greece’s population is at risk of poverty when only consumption expenditure coming from purchases is taken into consideration (up from 17.1% in 2021), according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
-Funds amounting to some €13 billion have been moved into term deposit accounts since the start of the year, as their total now stands at €46.5 billion, from €33.4 billion in January, the Bank of Greece (BoG) data showed.
–Athens-listed Piraeus Port Authority SA (OLP) profits before taxes increased by 48.8% to €49.4 million, in the first half of fiscal year 2023, compared to €33.2 million in the same period of 2022.
-Greece’s balance of travel services posted a surplus of €3.88 billion euros in July 2023, up from €3.4 billion in the corresponding year of 2022, with travel receipts up by 15.1% to €4.146.2 billion euros, up from 3.601.7 billion euros in July 2022, BoG data showed.
