Greek tourism has been established as a pillar of stability and growth over the last years, despite the turmoil and difficulties it faced from the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the outgoing president of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), Giannis Retsos, said on Wednesday during the 31st regular general assembly, AMNA reported.

INVESTMENT

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invests €56 million in Eldorado Gold Corporation to develop the controversial Skouries gold-copper mine, located within the Halkidiki Peninsula. Critics of the project argue that it poses a significant threat to the environment and tourism industry in the region. Eldorado is a Canada-based mining company with a diversified portfolio of operations and assets in Türkiye, Canada and Greece.
