ECONOMY
-Greece’s adjusted unemployment rate slowed to 9.6% in June 2024 from a downwardly revised 10.3% in the previous month. This marked the lowest jobless rate since June 2009, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data showed.
-The European Union-harmonized index of consumer prices in Greece was 3% in July, according to Eurostat estimates and is the fourth highest in the eurozone.
-Taxis in Greece are now required to display a special sticker informing customers that they accept credit card payments, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announced.

Arrivals to Greece via road reached nearly 1.5 million in June, with visitors from the Balkans and Turkey predominantly heading to the northern part of the country, according to a new study by INSETE, the research institute of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).
