Athens-listed Intracom Holdings SA recently acquired a 71.31% stake in the company Afoi Simou S.A., owner of a hotel unit in Koufonisia. Nestled between Naxos and Amorgos, Koufonisia is part of the cluster of islands called the Small Cyclades.

With an announcement to the Athens Stock Exchange, Intracom Holdings SA declared the purchase of 1,937,128 Common Registered Shares of the hotel owner active in the field of tourism in Koufonisia, for a total price of € 4,261,681.60.

The hotel in question is the Koufonisia Hotel, the only 4 star hotel in Koufonisia and within the wider region of Small Cyclades. Koufonisia is plural in Greek, and the reason for that is that we are talking about two islands: Kato Koufonisi and Ano Koufonisi separated from each other by a 200 m. wide narrow strait. Ano Koufonisi (meaning Upper Koufonisi) is the only populated island of the two.

Within an area of 17,000 square meters, the 4-star property boasts 55 beautiful rooms, built in amphitheater style with a view of a garden – featuring rare tropical plants and waterfalls – an Olympic-size swimming pool and the Aegean Sea.

Intracom Holdings SA operates, through its subsidiaries and affiliates, in the Information Technology (IT) solutions and services, construction projects and defense electronics systems sectors.
