Mitsis Group expands portfolio with 2 new properties in Corfu

Greece’s largest privately-owned hotel chain Mitsis Group continues its growth momentum, adding a new destination to its portfolio with two new hotel units on the Ionian island of Corfu. Specifically, the Group has acquired ‘Messonghi Beach Hotel’, a 4* beachfront all-inclusive resort in the area of Messonghi and signed a 10-year Management Agreement for ‘Belvedere Hotel’, a 3* seaside all-inclusive hotel in the area of Agios Ioannis Peristeron, two properties of Georgoulis family.

This property acquisition marks the third in a row that the Group has completed within two years following its expansion with the addition of two hotels on the island of Crete in 2022, and the fifth consecutive property management agreement within one year, following its expansion agreements in Crete, Santorini and Halkidiki.

Messonghi Beach Hotel has a total capacity of 979 rooms and spreads over a coastal plot with a surface of 130 acres. The 4* seaside all-inclusive resort features two restaurants and four bars, two shared pools, two children’s pools, water slides, a water park, a wellness centre, conference facilities and a gym. Belvedere Hotel offers 170 rooms across five different room types and features a restaurant, two bars, and a shared pool, among others.
